EPA Victoria resource page on reusing and recycling water Reclaimed water derived from treated sewage is widely recognised as a valuable and sustainable water  resource. EPA Victoria’s Guidelines for Environmental Management (GEM): Use of Reclaimed Water  (Publication 464.2) describes the environmental and health controls necessary to enable the highest class of  reclaimed water (class A) to be supplied via a third pipe network for non-potable residential uses such as  garden watering and toilet flushing.
